The Story

I’ve been in the trenches of trying to build a private practice from nothing – no clients, no business skills, no clue. I began my practice in a sublet office and used my cell phone as my business line.

Honestly, I took the plunge into private practice with no idea what I was doing. I had a baby at home and bills to pay and I just had to find a way to make my practice work. Paying my employer 50% of my income wasn’t fair and burned me out, so I was determined to make my practice work AND be profitable.

I set out to figure out the business of private practice and developed an approach and systems that let me do healing work and make a great living. And I went from no clients to an 8 week wait list!

How did I go from clueless psychotherapist to busier (and more profitable) than I ever thought possible?

I joined business mentoring communities, listened to teleclasses and read books on marketing, client attraction, building multiple income streams, asked lots and lots of questions and applied what I learned through the lens of a health care practice with my ethics and regulations in mind.
